He was predeceased by: his father Walter Koehler; and his brother Jay Koehler. He is survived by: his mother Charlene Koehler (King); his wife Patricia Roemer; his son Ryan Koehler; and his siblings, Lynn Graham (Ron) and LuAnn Rundell (Al). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
