He was predeceased by: his daughter Nancy P. Nitz; his parents, Robert Nitz and Clara H. Nitz; and his sister Barbara Nitz Reidel. He is survived by: his children, Connie Birchmeier (Dick), Karen Flintoft (Mike), Michael Nitz (Ruth), Jamie Nitz (Sean), Jody Nitz (Sara) and Justin Nitz (Monica); his granddaughter Kristy Dumond (Larry); his children, Kasey Flintoft, Kayla Boylen (Tyler), Maddox Nitz, Collin Nitz, Colton Nitz and Leah Nitz; his great grandchildren, Julia Dumond and Thad Dumond; and his siblings, Lorrine Kuhl and Jerry Nitz (Rhonda). He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
