He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Calaway and Marion Calaway (Simpson); and his brother Gordon Calaway (Constance). He is survived by: his wife Faye; his sons, Larry Nimtz (Maurita), David Nimtz (Kathy) and Duane Nimtz (Lori); and his grandchildren, Shaun, Shannon, Morgan, Jessica, Kyle, Brooke, Joshua, John, James and Justin. He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be given to the American Legion or Thumb Animal Shelter.
