He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick "Milan" and Ruth Eckert (Delamater); his wife Carol Eckert; and his siblings, George Eckert, Jim Eckert, Elmer "Tug" Eckert, Ron Eckert, Lawrence Eckert and Betty Gilbert.
He is survived by: his children, Brian Eckert (Heather), Christopher Eckert (Teresa), Darren Eckert (Linda) and Angela Conley (Walter); his grandchildren, Jade Honeycutt (Ethan), Catherine Eckert, Arianna Benedict (Devan), Heidi Frederick (Tyler), Eliza Banks (Andrew), Madison Eckert, Darcie Eckert, Allison Eckert, Sylvia Eckert, Bethannie Eckert, Mikhah Eckert, Faith Eckert, Naomie Eckert, Serene Eckert, Pazlee Eckert, Rosie Vanbennekom, Buffy Vanbennekom and Daytona VanSpriell; his siblings, John Eckert (Alice), Gale Eckert and June Kimball (Lyle); and his sister-in-law Lucille Eckert. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
