He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Richard and Marion Burghardt (Forster); and his brother Robert Burghardt. He is survived by: his wife Joanne C. Bachor; his sons, Joseph Burghardt (Natalie McDonald) of Gibraltar, Mathew Wort of West Bloomfield and Andrew Wort (Erin) of Gibraltar; his grandchildren, Morgan and Gavin Wort; his brother Thomas Burghardt (Dorothy) of Reed City; and his sister-in-law Linda Burghardt of Yale, Michigan. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Crossroads Community Church (110 S Main St, Evart, MI 49631). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Salvation Army or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
