It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rommie MacDonald of Scottville, Michigan, born in Ludington, Michigan, who passed away on February 11, 2024, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis D. MacDonald and Anita V. MacDonald (Whitaker); his sisters, Aleatha Cox and Deborah MacDonald; his half-brother Tommie MacDonald; and his father-in-law Ronald A. Houk.
He is survived by: his wife Jennifer MacDonald (Houk); his sister Marcine Cox (Bill); his half-brothers, Ron Iris (Carla), Leslie Figgins and Gary Figgins (Nellie); his mother-in-law AnnaBelle Houk; his brothers-in-law, Jonathan Houk and Clarence Cox; and his nieces and nephews, Michael Houk (Amber Sodders), Tyler Cox, Terry Frey, Allen Frey, David Figgins (Tracy), Luke Iris, Daniel Kary, Marcy Frey, Nicole Foster (Jack), Melody Houk, Christina Kary (Bruce) and Nicole Cameron (John). He is also survived by his family and friends.
Rommie was a member of the United Methodist Church of Ludington where he attended regularly until the onset of Covid-19.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association; the United Methodist Church of Ludington, Community Cats TNR or the Big Lake Humane Society (formerly Muskegon Humane Society).
