He was predeceased by: his parents, Aloys Haupt and Minnie Haupt (Kaddatz); his grandson Christopher Monsen; his brothers-in-law, Ralph Christensen (Arlene), Nels "Bud" Christensen, Tom McDonald and Ken Quick; his nephew Bob Christensen; and his great-nephews, Miles May and Owen Carlson.
He is survived by: his wife Nedra Monsen (Christensen); his children, Barbara Petersen (Don), Don Monsen (Lynn), William Monsen (Lisa), Douglas Monsen (Tonya) and Christine Kehr (Wallace); his grandchildren, Chantal Schweizer (Brian), Anthony Ruiz, Tyler Monsen (Amy), Lauren, Bridget Monsen, Kenneth Monsen (Megan), Timothy, Brandon, Ryan Monsen, Elizabeth Monsen, Daniel and Melanie Kehr; and his siblings-in-law, Peter Christensen (Jackie), Lance Christensen (Marge) and Audrey McDonald Quick (Sandra Christensen). He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.
