He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Howard Dale and Rebecca Jacquelyn "Jackie" Wire Shelburne; his wife Miss Laurie Drenth of Scotts, MI; his grandmother Laurie; his son Derek Shelburne of Phoenix, AZ; his grandchildren, Devereaux, Deklan and Audriana; his siblings, Tammy Shelburne-See, Betsy Shelburne, Misty DePoy (Timothy), Mindy Navarro (Hector), Jeffery Shelburne (Jeanie), Rodney Shelburne (Darla), Randy Shelburne (Carol), Barney Shelburne (Lorraine), Gary D. Shelburne and Scott B. Shelburne; and also Juanita. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
