He lived in Tampa, Florida for 10 years, during which time he worked as a teacher at West Gate Christian School and as a Construction Supervisor. He worked hard to provide for his loved ones. He also enjoyed working on and fixing cars. Above all Denis loved to spend time with his children and grandchildren, and they were always at the center of his heart. Denis was a patriot and served as an infantryman in the Army during the Vietnam War. His devotion to our nation was something he always carried with pride. To know Denis was to love him, and he will be missed. On August 13, 1977, he married the love of his life Karen (DeGrush) Homan who survives.
