He was predeceased by: his siblings, Woodrow Collins, Howard Collins and Dyane Wildig (Collins). He is survived by: his parents, Elmer Collins and Genevieve Collins (Skoglund); his wife Tena Ross-Adams Collins; his stepsons, Nickolaus (Katarina), Timothy, Nathanyell (Kimberly) and Brandon; and his stepgrandson Elliot Farrell.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to the Gospel Mission in Kalamazoo.
