Harold Laymon Sr. Obituary
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Fellowship Church, 44 VW Ave. W, Schoolcraft. A time of visiting will follow the service. Memorial contributions may be made to National Epilepsy Foundation, in c/o the funeral home.
Age 72 , passed away Thursday morning, June 27, 2024. Harold was born in Kalamazoo on June 30, 1951, the son of Glen and Joan (Price) Laymon. He was married to Suzanne Hulbert who preceded him in death in 2020. Harold was a huge Disney fan and had been to both parks several times. He also loved science fiction and had authored some books, two of which were published. In his younger days he loved playing the guitar. His family has fond memories of being on family camping vacations. He will be remembered as being a beautiful human being who loved life and who adored his family. Harold is survived by his children Stacy (Jason) Fulbright and Jim (Robin) Laymon; grandchildren Ethan Laymon, Byron Fulbright, Latreece Thomas, Kobie Thomas, Mary Thomas, Camden Thomas, Ashley Laymon, Tiffani Laymon, Sam Ferrer, Camellia Ferrer and Angelica Ferrer; and great grandchildren Dexter Bell, Amelia McCormick, Nolan McCormick, Lynden McCormick, Silas Gifford and Isla Bell; brother, Russel "Rusty" Laymon; several nieces and nephews; and many friends. Besides his wife, Harold was preceded in death by brothers, Tony Laymon and Bill Laymon; and a sister, Martha Peterson.
