She was predeceased by: her siblings, Evelyn Vander Meer, Florence VanKalker (Owen) and Ted Vander Meer (Dee). She is survived by: her brother Sterry Vander Meer (Lois); and her significant other Nellie Balkema. She is also survived by children and extended family who lovingly adopted Eleanor as their aunt and grandma.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan, Tree of Life School, or Texas Corners Bible Church.
