With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Catherine Mae Ovington of Schoolcraft, Michigan, born in Kalamazoo, Michigan, who passed away on September 12, 2023 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Verne Reynolds and Catherine Reynolds (Hoff); and her siblings, Mary Thomas, Leo Reynolds (Bette), Velma Judkins, Elnora Welda, Verne Reynolds Jr., Marion Collins and Naomi Underwood.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Ovington (Susan) and Patricia Dekema (Rod); her granddaughters, Heidi Ishmael, Maureen Ovington and Kathryn Evans (Drew); her great grandchildren, Ian, Caeleb Ishmael, Greyson and Hazel Evans; and her brother-in-law Richard Collins.
Memorial contributions may be made in Catherine's honor to the First Presbyterian Church of Schoolcraft, Michigan, or the Southwest Michigan Miracle League.
