He was predeceased by: his parent Marianne Mercer (Gfeller). He is survived by: his wife Maureen Duffee; his children, Kristy Barber, Nicholas Mercer (Lillian Byrdak), Kacie Mercer and Benjamin Mercer; his granddaughter Breanna Barber; and his parent Marianne Freeburg. He is also survived by seven siblings.
