He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Henry and Marie Martha Schaffer (Gnodtke); and his brothers, Robert and Ronald Schaffer. He is survived by: his wife Peggie Jean Bueghly; his sons, Gary Schaffer (Becky), Gregg Schaffer (Julie), David Schaffer (Cathy) and Doug Schaffer (Peggy); his grandchildren, Arron, Josh, Lindsey, Andrew, Micah, Emma, Jenna and Rylee Schaffer; and his siblings, Albert Schaffer and Alice Germain.
