He was predeceased by: his parents, John Akkanen and Barbara Akkanen (Michaels-Ferguson). He is survived by: his friends, Darien Neveu and Robert Brown; his wife Christine Akkanen; his daughter Erin; and his siblings, John Akkanen (Nan) of Brimley, MI and Karin Pingatore (Ed) of Brimley, MI. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and nephews.
