Irene M. Smart Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Irene M. Smart of Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan, who passed away on March 16, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Johnston and Dorothy Johnston (Weir); her husband Larry Smart; her brother William Johnston (Marjorie); her parents-in-law, Don and Fay Smart; and her pet Ryder.
She is survived by: her children, Laurie Gierke (Jeff) and Daniel Smart (Mary); her grandchildren, Rachael Smart (Damian McLeod), Jack Gierke, Annika Gierke, Emily Johnson (Connor) and Amy Smart; and her great grandchildren, Dalton, Lyric McLeod, Weston and Layne Johnson.
