With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dolores Ilona Mortinson of Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan, born in Ferndale, Michigan, who passed away on March 24, 2024 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Willard and Mamie (Ollila); her husband Myron Mortinsen; and her children, Rhonda Pavlat and Kirk Mortinsen.
She is survived by: her children, Jerry Mortinsen (Pam) of Perry and Terri (Larry) of Ann Arbor, Michigan; her brother Richard Gibbons (Ann) of Sault Ste; her grandchildren, Darin Mortinsen (Melissa), Amy Doerner (Doug), Jason Mortinsen, Robin Null (Gary), Dylan Mortinsen, Jennifer Freiman (Alex), Heather Thompson (Jae) and Ben Merte; and her great grandchildren, Caden, Kolton, Cavan, Owen, Makenzie, Brady, Griffin, Jaelynn, Haven, Leland, Kyler, Jaxon, Lauren, Peyton, Jacob, Connor, Zachary, Anthony, Aubrey and Amelia.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Dolores Mortinsen can be made to the Sault, Free Methodist Church (505 West 4th Avenue, Sault Ste. Marie, MI 49783).
