He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin F. Smith and Marion Smith (Hagens). He is survived by: his sister Diana Reif (Udo); his nephews, Bradley J. Bonfiglio of Rockwall and Mark B. Bonfiglio of St. Petersburg, Florida; his pet Black; and his friend Marie.
