“I worked and flew with Brooke as a fellow Bulldog many years ago. I shall remember him as a good Marine and talented pilot as well as compatriot. But the sorrow this news brings is also a reminder that there will be a gathering of eagles as certainly as tomorrow's sunrise. And that we will serve together again in fulfillment of our Hymn which announces, "If the Army and the Navy ever look on heaven's scenes, they will find the streets are guarded by United States Marines" Semper Fi my friend!”
