He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Leroy Lane Sr. and Ella Mae Lane (Ruth). He is survived by: his wife Kit; his sons, Eric Lane of Florida, Chris Lane (Melissa) of North Carolina, Joe Lane (Marnie) of Traverse City and Douglas Lane of Saugatuck; his grandchildren, Allyson McNabb (Corey), Sawyer Lane, Chandler Lane, Sierra Lane, Mackenzie Lane, Claire Lane and Rebecca Lane; his great grandchildren, Grace and Bryce McNabb; and his sister Nancy Grant (Cullen) of Florida. He is also survived by many friends and relatives.
