It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jack Rutz of Saranac, Michigan, born in Sheridan, Michigan, who passed away on November 21, 2020, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles "Bud" and Verda "Betty" Rutz (Shindorf); his sister Janie Oliver; his parents-in-law, Gerald and Eloyce Robinson; and his brother-in-law Gerald J Robinson III.
He is survived by: his wife Charlett Rutz of Saranac; his children, Tracy Bussa (Rob) of Clarksville, Kelli Melcher (Rich) of Saranac, Ron C. Rutz of Lowell and Annie Koomen (Greg) of Grand Rapids; his daughter-in-law Kim Rutz of Ionia; his grandchildren, Tiffany Quillan (Tyler), Kelsea Melcher, Jared Melcher, Kyrsten Rutz, Levi Koomen, Brooklyn Koomen, Cody Bussa, Katie Lower and Maddie Bussa; his great grandchildren, Ciara Eloyce Quillan, Nicholas Bussa and Roy Valdez Jr.; and his siblings, Rita Imhoff (Dennis) of Orleans and Leo Rutz (Linda) of Saranac.
