He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Thomas and Vernita Thomas (Warner); his wife Bonnie; and his siblings, William Thomas, Herman Thomas, Shirley Bilson, Dorothy Brundage, Carol Brown, Beula Doolittle and Elaine Ellena.

He is survived by: his children, Kimberly Scott of Saranac, Floyd Thomas (Kim) of Ionia and Warren Thomas of Lake Odessa; his grandchildren, April Scott, Timothy Scott II, Ashley White, Ryan A. Thomas and Karlee Thomas; his great grandchildren, Brayden, Liam, Jonathon, Allissia, Angel, Karson, Karter and Kinslee; and his sisters, Marlene Goodrich of California and Marian Mulahbeck (Fred) of South Carolina.
