He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville H. Wismer and Ella L. Wismer (Dunlap); and his siblings, Warren Wismer, Jean Wismer, Joyce Wismer, Don Wismer and Harley Wismer.

He is survived by: his wife Aileen M. Wagner of Saranac; his sons, Alan Warren Wismer (Tina) of Lake Odessa and Brian Lee Wismer of Nashville; his grandsons, Nicholas Daguanno of Roseville and Jacob Thomas Wismer of Gagetown; and his sister-in-law Doris Wismer.

Those wishing may make memorial contributions to Hospice of Lansing or Ionia Commission on Aging.
