She was predeceased by: her parents, Cornelius Weeda and Lucille Weeda (Van Wingen); her brother Thomas Weeda; her grandson DJ Braam; and her son-in-law Tom Thornton.

She is survived by: her husband Donald Braam; and her children, Bob Braam (Pam), Cindy Thornton, Lori DeHaan (Dave), Nancy Scholten (Mark), Cheri Sarver (Keith), Jeff Braam (Rebecca) and Craig Braam (Heidi). She is also survived by thirty-two grandchildren; and twenty great-grandchildren.
