He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Briggs and Edna Briggs; his siblings-in-law, Allen, Lydia Cole and Robert Hilderbrandt; and his siblings, Sharon Wishowski and Michael Briggs.
He is survived by: his wife Annalee Hildebrandt; his children, Jon Briggs (Digger) and Anna Merillat (Dean); his granddaughters, Hannah of Sanford, Haylee of Sanford and Heidi Merillat of Sanford; and his siblings, Carol Hale (Dick), Beth Moe (Curt), Jeff Briggs (Marilyn) and Mark Briggs. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
