He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, JoAnn DuVall, EJ Herst (Jill Derry) and Julie Scott; his grandchildren, Mikalya Farmar (CJ), Callan, Maxton, Jacey Herst, Morgan and Ethan Scott; his great grandchildren, Iris and Ophelia Farmar; his siblings, Lalor Herst, Ward Herst (Florence), Warner Herst and Rosa Lee Herst; and his sister-in-law Violet Herst.
