He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Buerkle and Aldona Buerkle; his wife Marjorie Snelson; and his granddaughter Chelsea Pleiness. He is survived by: his children, Marjorie Pleiness, Catherine Flores (Jim), Raymond Buerkle Jr. (Debbie), Mary Laeder (Joe) and Tom Buerkle (Leslie); and his siblings, Carl Buerkle, Daniel Buerkle, Cil Bond, Evelyn Crain and Theresa Schultz.
