He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Gerstenberger and Caroline Gerstenberger (Gerber); and his grandson Brant Gerstenberger. He is survived by: his wife Shirley White; his sons, Gary Gerstenberger (Kim), Rick Gerstenberger (Linda), Rob Gerstenberger (Cherie) and Jim Gerstenberger; his siblings, Ron Gerstenberger (Barbara), Jerry Gerstenberger (Cindy) and Gloria Stone; and his daughter-in-law Kim Gerstenberger.

Memorials may be made to the Holy Redeemer Lutheran Church, or the Peace Lutheran Church.
