He is survived by: his spouse Madelin Schnicke; his sons, Ted Reed and Karl Reed (Kim); his grandchildren, Kenda Haines, Kevin Reed (Ruth), Karl Reed II (Jessica) and Brittany Lossing (Nathaniel); his sister Alice Sluijer; and his brother-in-law Lester Ridgeway. He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren.
