It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leland L. Dunbar (Sand Creek, Michigan), born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on November 8, 2019, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon Dunbar and Carlola Dunbar (Hart); his wife Eleanor Marcile (Johnson); his siblings, Lewis Dunbar, Lyle Dunbar, Louise Sindel and Lucille White; his daughter Cheryl Shewman; and his granddaughter Kelly Dunbar.
He is survived by: his children, Terry L. Dunbar (Betty) of Hermosa Beach, Gloria Herman (Jerome) of Adrian and Stanley Dunbar (Shellie) of Adrian; his siblings, Robert Dunbar (Naomi) of Adrian and Rita Luce of Tecumseh; and his son-in-law Harold Shewman of Hillsdale. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great-grandchildren.
