He was predeceased by: his parents, James Lynn Collins and Clela Alene Collins (Adair); his wife Karen Doss Collins; and his brother Bruce Collins. He is survived by: his children, James "Jim" Collins (Sheryl) of Upland, CA and Tracy Bender of Portland, OR.; his stepchildren, Eric Doss of Lansing and Theresa Zahn (Chris) of Saline; and his grandchildren, Jeffrey Collins (Brittany), Gregory Collins, Sunshine Bender, Eryn Collins, Alexis "Ace" Compton, Christopher Zahn, Shelby Compton, Avery Bender, Thomas Zahn, Elliott Doss and Olivia Doss.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Saline or to the Parkinson's Foundation.
