It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Kathryn Lynn Nelson of Saline, Michigan, who passed away at the age of 52, on February 2, 2025. She was predeceased by: her mother Patricia Mary Rumptz (Kryston); her nephew Cory Nelson; and her pets, Prudence, Chewy and Tucker.
She is survived by: her father Timothy Hilary Rumptz; her husband Kevin John Nelson; her children, Adeline Gurgel (Joao), Gillian Nelson and Ethan Nelson; her siblings, Maureen Rumptz (Michelle Barber), Andy Rumptz (Sarah) and Jess Tezak; her nieces and nephews, Sidney, Shelby, Tanner, Victoria, Stephen, Jacob and Madison; and also Lily.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:20 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church (910 Austin Dr, Saline, MI 48176-1157).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Katie's honor may be made to the American Lyme Disease Foundation, 384 Suite G, Merrow Rd, Tolland, CT 06084, or to the Humane Society of Huron Valley, P.O. Box 7026, Liberty Station, Ann Arbor, MI 48107-7026.
