She was predeceased by: her parents, Boston Shelton and Martha Shelton (Phillips); and her children, Joyce Keeth (Ray), Bryan Mellinger and Bruce Mellinger.
She is survived by: her sons, Mike Mellinger (Liz) of Northville, Mark Mellinger (Shari) of Willis and Robert Scott Mellinger of Milan, Michigan.; her siblings, Harold Shelton of Richmond and Stella Davis (Shelton) of Richmond; and her daughter Easter.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Robison-Bahnmiller Funeral Home & Cremation Services (301 E Michigan Ave, Saline, MI 48176). A prayer was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:20 PM at the same location. A committal service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Washtenong Memorial Park (3771 Whitmore Lake Rd, Ann Arbor, MI 48105).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name may be made to Arbor Hospice, and envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
