James touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, AJ McKee and Emma McKee. He is survived by: his wife Ramona; his children, Sherry C. Kennedy, Terri Poore, Chris McKee (Tonya), Donna Metcalf (Chuck), Johnny Ison (Melissa) and James Ison II; his grandchildren, Brittany McKee, Steven Poore, Christopher McKee, Taylor McKee, Jamie Swords, Michael Gilson, Heidi Gilson, John Grilley Ison and James Jr. III; his sister Marcy McKee-Simonson; and his pets, Max and Hunter. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Following Jim's wishes, he has generously donated his body to the University of Michigan Anatomical. Donation Program.
