He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Melinda; his children, Mike Schmidt, Jeremy Schmidt (Heather), Nick Schmidt, Jon-D Schmidt (Lindsay), Jennifer Hizer (Lee) and Michael Pepper (Fawn); and his brothers, Dan Schmidt (Donna) and Mark Schmidt. He was also cherished by 15 grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
