He is survived by: his parents, David V. Powers and Berneda F. "Faye" Powers (Ward); his wife Nancy Powers (Shreves); his sister Debbie Charles (James); his children, Stephanie Schineman (Michael), Michael Powers and Stacey Newton (Eric); and his grandchildren, Abigail, Joshua and Emerson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name may be made to the family, care of Nancy Powers, and envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
