He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Curtiss and Jessie Curtiss (Arnold); his brother Boyd Curtiss; and his parents-in-law, Paul and Sophie Schafer.
He is survived by: his wife Rosemary Schafer; his children, Heather Curtiss of Beal City, Gene Curtiss (Jen) of Bryan, TX and Shawn Theisen (Dave) of Beal City; his grandchildren, Daegan Curtiss, Gavin (Mariah) and Karson Theisen (Lindsey); his great grandchild David James Theisen; his sisters, Barbara McMullen (Jim) of Traverse City and Becky Bellinger of Mt. Pleasant; and his sister-in-law Diane Curtiss of Dewitt. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
