She was predeceased by: her husband Norman Ervin LaClair; her granddaughter Tina Martin; her great grandchildren, Regan Schott and Anahi Ortiz; her son-in-law Bill Lorenz Jr.; her siblings, Adrian, Richard, Bill, Roger, Dave, Garth and Lois Sandy; and her sister-in-law Millie Wiles.
She is survived by: her children, Carol Martin (Mike) of Sumner, MI, Norma Kendall (Glen) of Pinconning, MI, Mary Lorenz of Clare, MI, Alan LaClair of St. Louis, MI and Julie Byrne (Tom) of Hemlock, MI; and her brother Phil Wiles (Sue). She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great granddaughter.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Smith Family Funeral Homes (117 N East St, St. Louis, MI 48880). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at the Emerson Township Cemetery (3851 N Bagley Rd, Alma, MI 48801).
