In loving memory of Virgil E. Schmaltz of Saint Joseph, Michigan, born in Frazee, Minnesota, who departed this world on October 2, 2024 at the age of 96. He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Schmaltz and Elsie Schmaltz; his wife Marie Jarvis; his sister Fern H. Schmaltz; and his granddaughter Darcie Marie Vugrinovich.
He is survived by: his children, David Schmaltz (Janice) of St. Joseph, Debra Fuller of Scottsdale, AZ and Denise Lenardson (Jaime) of St. Joseph; his grandchildren, Dawn Hopkins (Michelle), Ryan Schmaltz (Juliana), Brandon Schmaltz, Joshua G. Fuller, Jessica Leonard (John) and Ali Lenardson; and his great grandchildren, Aiden, Michala, Jaxson Hopkins, Owen, Luke, Reese Fuller and Henry Lenardson. He is also survived by several nieces & nephews.
Memorial donations in Virgil's name may be made to Salem Lutheran Church.
