With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert Devries (Saint Joseph, Michigan), born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, who passed away on August 3, 2019 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry DeVries and Cora DeVries (DeMeester); and his siblings, Alyce Roodvoets and Russell DeVries. He is survived by: his spouse LucyAnn; his children, Linda Owens (Keenis) of Ligonier, IN, Robert DeVries (Karol) of Buford, GA, Thomas DeVries of Stevensville, MI, Nancy Bunker of St. Joseph, MI and Ruth Kurtis (Jim) of Marana, AZ; his grandchildren, Zachary Owens (Rodica), Katherine Owens (Pavel Smidingr), Ashleigh DeVries, Terah Palmer (Justin) and Amanda Carroll; and his sister-in-law Joanne DeVries. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Memorial Garden Fund at the First Congregational Church of St. Joseph or to the St. Joseph/Lincoln Senior Center.
