He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil Mak and Edna Mak (Phiscator); his wife Beverly Jean Mak; and his brother Warren Mak. He is survived by: his son Mark (Jayme); and his grandchild Kennedy McKie of Bridgman.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorials to be made to Caring Circle Hospice, St. John's Lutheran Church of Baroda, or Michigan Flywheelers Museum.
