He was predeceased by: his parents, Johannes VandeKoppel and Anna VandeKoppel (Fischer); his siblings, Joycene Wolffis (Harold) and Robert Grootenhuis; and his sister-in-law Barb Grootenhuis.
He is survived by: his wife Aileen Workman; his children, Ted VandeKoppel (Molly) of Portage, MI, Thom VandeKoppel (Brenda) of Findlay, OH and Jill Kerby (Mike) of Berrien Center; his grandchildren, Samantha Hamman (Steve Salyer), Sarah Zwalua (Robert), Paul VandeKoppel (Jessica), Kelley Hines (Garrett), Tyler Kerby (Kelsey), Matthew Kerby (Katie), Ryan Kerby (Jillian) and Jason Kerby (Livy); his great grandchildren, Larkin, Micah, Judith and Quinn; his brother John Grootenhuis; and his sister-in-law Karen Grootenhuis. He is also survived by several nieces & nephews.
Memorial donations in Paul's name may be made to First Church of God Endowment Fund or to Samaritan's Purse.
