He was predeceased by : his parents, Arthur Allen and Catherine Allen (Williamson); his former life partner Vila Lorraine Allen; and his brother Fred Allen. He is survived by : his wife Faye Allen of Mission, Texas; his daughters, Monica Allen Perin (Patrick), Ruth Snyder (David), Anita Meyer (John) and Catherine Kruggel (Charles); his grandchildren, Sarah Snyder Zhang, Micah Snyder, Isaac Meyer, Paul Kruggel and Luke Kruggel; his great grandchild Zivah Zhang; and his half-sister Doris Allen.

For a more lasting memory, donations in Paul's name can be made out to either Lutheran Bible Translators or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
