He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Hanners and Josie Hanners (Sorrels); his wife Mildred Marie Cortson; and his grandson-in-law Michael Moore. He is survived by: his children, Patricia Gruntman (Don) of St. Joseph and Ronald Hanners (Char) of St. Joseph; his grandchildren, Lori Thompson (Andy), Angela Hanners, Donald Gruntman, Jr. (Cori) and Kellie Zehm (Jamie); his great grandchildren, Anna Thompson, Charlie Williams, Austyn Gruntman, Tobin Zehm, Sadie Trotti (Chris), Jared Newman and Sam Newman; his great great grandchildren, Cleo and Layton Trotti; and his brother Ken Hanners. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
