She was predeceased by: her parents, William Gard and Nellie Gard (Horn); her children, Kim Couet and David Charles Stuppy; her sister Rhoda; and her brother-in-law George Wiesemes.

She is survived by: her husband Charles J. Stuppy; her children, Timothy Stuppy (Ana), Melissa Cox (Kurtis) of Dowagiac, Ronald Stuppy (Jinky Shapiro) and Merry Rickert (Michael); her sister Rheta Peters (Donald) of St. Joseph; and her son-in-law Mark Couet of Chicago. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Center for Hospice Care of Indiana or St. Joseph First United Methodist Church.
