He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Boettcher and Ella Boettcher (Downer); his siblings, Paul, Kurt and Nanette; and his nephew Jeff.
He is survived by: his wife Lori Boettcher; his children, Nicole Boettcher (Graham Mason), Anna Boettcher (Amy Huang), Erik Mark Boettcher and Gavin Avry Kraus; and his sisters, Jeanine Sillaway and Barbara Treas (Joe Sigers). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
