We bid farewell to Louise Winter (Saint Joseph, Michigan), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 20, 2025 at the age of 94. Louise touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Schoech and Louise Schoech (Klopp); her husband Ernest A. Winter; her son Tim Winter; and her grandchildren, David, Susannah and Elizabeth.

She is survived by: her children, Debbie Nixdorf (Klaus), Rev. Thomas Winter and Becky Eminger (Jeff); her daughter-in-law Gaylin Winter; her grandchildren, Micah Winter, Ethan Winter (Sarah), Heidi Sorensen (Bryan), Eric Nixdorf (Courtney), Sarah Bedard (Bill) and Elisa Eminger (Alex Wolfe); and her sister Ann Gongol. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Louise's name may be directed to Christ Lutheran Church and School, Lutherans in Africa, or Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne.

“Tim, Deb, Becky, Tom - your mom was a big influence on my life back many years ago when I first got married and moved to Farmington. That friendship grew when they moved to St Joe and we were in Sawyer. My Sue (your folks were her Godparents) and I send you our love and prayers.
