She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernhard Platzer and Anna Platzer (Blakely); her husband James Orchard; and her granddaughter Megan. She is survived by: her children, Sharon Perkins (John), James Orchard (Phyllis), Susan Collins (Patrick) and Gregg Orchard (Sherry); and her brother Barney Platzer. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren.
