He is survived by: his wife Nicke Knitter of St. Joseph; his sons, Kevin Knitter (Kris) of DeWitt, Brian Knitter of Lansing and Jeff Knitter; his stepdaughters, Shannon Harris Murphy of St. Joseph and Heather Harris Benchouk (Hocine) of Paris, France; his grandchildren, Allix, Sydney, Ryan, Nyla and Laith; and his brother Gene Knitter (Kim) of Richmond, VA..
